UNUS teachers successfully completed international advanced training within the framework of the Erasmus+ DEFEP project
From August 1 to 21, teachers of Uman National University of Horticulture took part in an international advanced training program within the DEFEP project “Distance Education for Future: best EU practices in response to the requests of modern higher education seekers and labor market”. The program participants had the opportunity to improve their skills in university management, distance education teaching methodology, and student support.
The program covered the following key areas:
– University management: developed skills in effective management of educational institutions, which is important for increasing the productivity of universities in today’s environment.
– Teaching Methodology for Distance Education: provided in-depth training in online learning methods that will help improve the quality of distance education.
– Tutoring and student support: aimed at improving strategies for supporting students in online programs, which will contribute to better learning and academic success.
The training took place in two formats: synchronous and asynchronous. The asynchronous part, hosted on the Moodle platform of the Moldovan State University, included presentations, learning materials, and assessments. Participants also had the opportunity to engage in live discussions via Zoom.
All teachers who successfully completed the training modules and passed the assessment received certificates confirming their professional development.
The university staff expresses its gratitude to the organizers of the DEFEP project for their contribution to the improvement of educational processes and professional development of UNUS teachers.
