26.09.2024

Uman National University of Horticulture continues to expand the opportunities for higher education students by participating in the international ERASMUS+ KA2 DEFEP project (‘Distance education for future: best EU practices in response to the requests of modern higher education seekers and labour market’).

Within the framework of this project, the educational programme “Economics of Social Security” in the field 232 “Social Security” at the second (Master) level of higher education is successfully implemented on a distance learning basis. The aim of the programme is to train highly qualified specialists who are able to respond to modern challenges in the social and economic sphere using innovative approaches and methods of distance education.

During the recent seminar, the students got acquainted with the University’s information platforms, such as ACS, Moodle and the University Repository, which ensure the convenience and accessibility of distance learning. The students had the opportunity to talk to the guarantor of the educational programme and the supervisor of the academic group, who gave detailed recommendations on the organisation of the training and answered the students’ questions. Particular attention was paid to the issues of academic integrity, its principles and the documents governing this important aspect of the educational process. The ERASMUS+ KA2 DEFEP project continues to support the implementation of best practices in distance education, contributing to the development of modern competences in students necessary for their successful professional activities.
