A regular meeting of the working group of the team involved in the implementation of the project “Distance education for the future: best EU practices in response to the demands of modern higher education seekers and the labour market (DEFEP)” was held at the Uman National University of Horticulture. During the event, the results of the work for the period June-December 2024 were summarised and the plans for the next stage of the project were outlined.
The participants of the meeting presented reports on the implementation of the project’s objectives, highlighting in particular the key results in adapting distance education to modern challenges, introducing innovative approaches to teaching and ensuring compliance with labour market requirements. The discussion helped to summarise the achievements and identify areas for further improvement.
Particular attention was paid to the plans for the implementation of the WP8 work package, which includes: ensuring the sustainability and scaling of the distance education system; developing promising student competences, taking into account cognitive, behavioural and technological changes; strengthening cooperation with the consortium member universities in Ukraine and Moldova.
The meeting was an important stage in the internal coordination of the UNUS team’s work within the DEFEP project. The tasks and initiatives discussed will contribute to the effective implementation of the project and its long-term impact on the development of distance education in Ukraine.
